Bellaghy Barns
The site lies just north of Bellaghy. Two single storey dwellings are paired in a relationship that recalls the placing of traditional dwellings, and which illustrate an architectural approach that is informed by the traditions of Northern Irish rural building.
Each house comprises two volumes set at right angles to one another, one a corrugated metal barrel roof and the other a pitched slate roof, creating an external dialogue typical of clustered farm structures.
The external spaces are compact and separated by a raised and planted berm.
